Gianluca Palmieri

Gianluca is an internationally touring drummer and the official drummer for Greg Howe and Googoosh. He has worked with Kanye West and Kamasi Washington.

International Touring & Studio Work

Gianluca is an internationally active drummer whose versatility has taken him from the Italian pop and TV music scene to major stages and renowned studios around the world. After relocating to Los Angeles, he graduated from Musicians Institute Hollywood, where he received the Carlos Vega Memorial Scholarship and the Outstanding Player Achievement Award.

Since 2013, Gianluca has also been a faculty member at Musicians Institute Hollywood, sharing his experience with the next generation of professional musicians.

Official Drummer for Greg Howe & Googoosh

Since 2007, Gianluca has been the official drummer for guitar virtuoso Greg Howe, recording on the albums Sound Proof and Wheelhouse.

Since 2019, he has also been the touring and recording drummer for Iranian music legend Googoosh, performing internationally.

Collaborations with World-Class Artists

Gianluca has performed and recorded with a wide range of renowned artists, including Kanye West, Kamasi Washington, Frank Gambale, Matteo Mancuso, Eric Marienthal, and many more.

In addition to his work as a live and studio drummer, he is active worldwide as a clinician for Yamaha Drums and Paiste Cymbals.
