Early Years and Musical Education

Simon discovered his passion for the guitar at the age of 8 and, by 13, began an intensive pre-college training program that provided him with a strong foundation in music. At 16, he won first prize at the national level of the “Jugend Musiziert” competition, one of Germany’s most prestigious music contests. This accomplishment marked a key milestone in his musical journey, paving the way for his professional career.

Career as a Live Musician

After graduating from the renowned Popakademie Baden-Württemberg, Simon toured the USA and Europe with the internationally acclaimed artist Alice Merton. Additionally, he performed with prominent German acts like Wincent Weiss, Lea, Antje Schomaker, and Malou, contributing his talent to a range of musical projects. His versatility and feel for different musical genres make him a sought-after guitarist in the industry.

Erfolge mit Soulsplitter und Lehrtätigkeit

Alongside his work as a live musician, Simon founded the progressive metal band Soulsplitter, with whom he has released two albums to date. These albums received high praise from the music press and gained recognition within the prog-metal community, celebrated for their musical complexity and emotional depth. For over 15 years, Simon has also been an active guitar instructor, valued for his experience and teaching skills. His teaching style combines technical knowledge with artistic inspiration, making him a highly sought-after teacher for guitarists of all levels.
